There is an article in The Columbian today about census data that shows a marked increase in LGBT households in Clark County over the last decade.

Queer households are actually on the increase everywhere, mostly due to the fact that the census is tracking them and that LGBT folks are reporting themselves more.
Increases are being seen everywhere, but the increase of nearly 100% in Clark County is quite remarkable. Regardless of the silly Advocate article from earlier this year, Vancouver is a terrific place for the queer community. Many queer-owned businesses and social organizations keep local residents quite busy and fulfilled. Though we all dearly miss The Northbank, a strong community is evolving and I look forward to what comes next.
